Routes to avoid around the country during the week ahead
Slane 2003 takes place at Slane Castle, Co Meath on Saturday. Gates open at 12pm. There will be no through traffic in the village.
Part of the N2 will be closed from the night before the concert, with diversions in place from Kilmoone Cross. There will be ample parking in fields along approach routes. Bus Eireann will run a special coach service from Dublin to Slane. The coaches will depart Mountjoy Square at regular intervals between 10am and 1pm, returning from Slane to the City immediately after the concert.

DUBLIN: All Ireland Football semi-finals at Croke Park on Sunday, between Tyrone playing Kerry. The usual restrictions will apply around Croke Park. In addition, you can expect delays on approach routes to Dublin, in particular on the N7 with traffic coming from Kerry, while Tyrone fans are likely to use the N2 or the N3.
Due to realignment works on Mullinastill Road and Falls Road they are both closed until Friday September 5th. Local access will be maintained at all times. The alternative route will be via Stonebridge Road, Dublin Road and the N11. As a result of this arrangement and the current closure of Bridesglen Rd, Cherrywood Road will be a cul-de-sac for the duration of these works.
Park Road in Dun Laoghaire will close temporarily from 12pm to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. This is in order to facilitate events for the Festival of World Cultures 2003. Local access will be maintained at all times. The alternative route will be via Georges Street Upper, Marine Road, and Queens Road. A traffic management plan will be in operation and diversions will be signposted.
The Ballybrack Rd in Glencullen is temporarily closed until the August 31st. Local access will be maintained at all times. The alternative route is via Tibraden Rd/College Rd/ Harolds Grange Rd/ Blackglen Rd/ Enniskerry Rd and vice versa.
MEATH: Construction work continues on the Ballybin Road (the road between Ratoath and Ashbourne) until further notice. The road is closed to traffic from the Ratoath side, so expect some delays at rush hour.
OFFALY: Long traffic delays are expected on the N62 in Ferbanefrom September 1st for about three months due to sewer laying operations. Traffic using the N62 northbound or southbound should divert at Ballinahown and Cloghan respectively.
WESTMEATH: Roadworks continue on the Longford Road in Mullingar. Temporary traffic lights are in operation Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm. Delays at peak times are likely. Works are also ongoing on the Mullingar Bypass with a lane closure westbound Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm until at least the end of August.
CORK: Marlboro Street has been closed since Thursday 7th August and will remain closed until 6pm on Friday August 29th.
