A busy racing calendar means some major jockeying on the road network this week. The following meetings will likely bring extra traffic to main routes and approach roads.

Another sporting-related clash sure to bring traffic problems is the Munster Senior Hurling Championship match at Pairc Ui Chaoimh this Sunday where Clare take on Tipperary. Delays should be expected before and after the match as joyous and disconsolate fans make their way home after the match.

LOUTH

Roadworks will continue on the Drogheda to Collon Rd until May 24th with a one lane restriction and temporary lights. Drivers are advised to approach with care as the roadworks are at a bad bend.

TIPPERARY

On the N24 approaching Carrick-on-Suir roadworks and temporary traffic lights will recommence on Monday 20th May.

DUBLIN

The one-way traffic system will continue to operate on Brewery Rd, from the N11 to Leopardstown Roundabout, to faciliatate roadwork until next Tuesday, May 24th.

Leopardstown Rd will close temporarily from 8am on Saturday until 6pm on Sunday from Murphystown Rd to the roundabout, to facilitate services work on South Eastern Motorway.

Roadworks on North Rd in Finglas between Saint Margarets and the M50 junction this weekend between the traffic and overtaking lane.

Commencing next Monday, the overtaking lane running parallel to the site of the previous works will be blocked and motorists should use the Bus lane as the overtaking lane.

Finally, road closures and restrictions will be in place in the Phoenix Park for a road race this Sunday. There will be no access to Serpentine Rd, Wellington Rd and Islandbridge Gate Rd, from 1-3pm.
