Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
From 6am on Saturday, May 20th, until 11pm on Sunday May 21st, southbound carriageway of M1 will be closed between its junctions with the Coolock Off Slip road and Coolock On Slip road. Expect delays.
Until Sunday, July 9th, Ashtown Rd is closed from River Rd to Martin Savage Park, for road improvement works on a new development between Ashtown Level Crossing and River Rd, including construction of a new pedestrian bridge across the Royal Canal and bridge works at Longford Bridge. Alternative routes are River Rd, Ratoath Rd, Nephin Rd, the N3 Navan Road and Dunsink Lane.
Until October 20th, St. James's Walk, Dublin 8 closed to all through-traffic, between junctions with Clarke's Terrace and laneway connecting to St Anthony's Road.
1. Eastbound traffic for access Forbes Lane / Long's Place via St James's Walk, will be diverted via South Circular Road - Dolphin's Barn Street - Cork Street - Marrowbone Lane - Forbes Lane - Long's Place.
2. Westbound traffic from Long's Place to Kilmainham via St James's Walk, will divert via Forbes Lane - Marrowbone Lane - Cork Street - Dolphin's Barn Street - South Circular Rd. Pedestrian access along the closed section of St James's Walk will be maintained times.
From 10am, Monday, May 22nd, till 10am Monday, June 19th, part of Coolquay Road , R130, The Ward will be closed between where it crosses Mabestown Stream to near its junction with the N2, for upgrading the Mabestown Stream Culverts. Local access will be maintained at all times to facilitate residents. Diversions are in place.
WICKLOW:
Until Monday, July 3rd, works from Church Hill/ Cookstown Rd junction to Enniskerry Village (Clock Tower), replacing water mains. Temporary traffic lights, and parking restrictions during this period.
KILKENNY:
Until mid-June, roadworks on N24 Pilltown/Fiddown By-Pass. Allow extra time for your journey.
GALWAY:
Roadworks until Monday May 22nd, on N17 at Carrownurlaur, Milltown 2km on the Galway side of Ballindine. Temporary traffic lights, one way traffic system, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm. Expect delays.
TIPPERARY:
Until Monday, May 29th, works on N24 at Kavanaghs Cross, Bansha. Temporary traffic lights - delays expected.
WATERFORD:
Until tomorrow, roadworks on N25 Waterford/New Ross Rd by Brothers of Charity Hospital . "Stop and go" in place: work will be from 10.30am until 4pm.
KERRY:
Works on N86 at The Stage, 3km east of Annascaul - expect delays.
CORK:
Until further notice, roadworks on N8 at north end of Watergrasshill Bypass. Restrictions in place in the northbound lanes for 1km.
Until June 6th, works on Ballyduff Rd R666 near Fermoy. Diversion route through Kilworth - works are part of Rathcormac/Fermoy Bypass.
Until mid-August, Francis St closed from Millard St to Grattan St for roadworks.
