Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
Until Saturday, September 16th, "The Metals", Glenageary, closed from junction with Eden Rd Upper to junction with Adelade Rd. Alternative route for cyclists and pedestrians via Eden Rd Lower and Adelade Rd and vice versa.
From 1am, June 3rd, until 11pm, June 4th, Sir John Rogerson's Quay closed between Creighton St and Windmill Lane. Traffic will divert along Creighton Street or Windmill Lane.
From 6am, June 3rd to 11pm, on June 5th, M1 will close southbound between Coolock Interchange and Collins Avenue. Southbound traffic will divert off at M50/N32 junction, to N32 to Malahide Road junction.
Balbriggan-Skerries Coast Road, between junction with Northcliffe Heights to junction with Barnageeragh closed from tomorrow at 6am until Monday, June 5th at 6pm inclusive. Alternative routes: For high vehicles and HGVs - from Balbriggan to Skerries via R132 (old N1) to Blakes Cross, to Lusk via R127, to Rush via R128, to Skerries via R128.
For those travelling from Skerries to Balbriggan via R128 to Rush, via R128 to Lusk, via R127 to Blakescross, via R132 (old N1) to Balbriggan.
For cars and light vans - from Balbriggan to Skerries (R127), diversion at Barnageeragh Bridge, to Cross of the Cage - Barnageeragh Road, turn left at Ardgillan Desmesne, via Grand Road, Blackhills to Balcunnin Road and turn left into Blakes Cross to Skerries Road (R127); - from Skerries to Balbriggan (R127) via Blakescross to Skerries Road (R127), turn right on to Blackhills to Balcunnin Road, via Grange Road to Ardgillan Desmesne, turn right on to Cross of the Cage to Barnageeragh Road and to the Balbriggan-Skerries Road (R127).
From June 3rd to June 5th, the North Circular Road will close between junctions with Berkeley Road and Dorset Street. Diversions:- 1. Eastbound traffic on North Circular Road diverts via Berkeley Road - Eccles Street - Dorset Street Lower. 2. Westbound traffic on North Circular Road diverts via Dorset Street Lower - Eccles Street - Berkeley Road. 3. Traffic on Gardiner Street Upper for North Circular Road, diverts via Dorset Street Lower - Eccles Street - Berkeley Road. 4. Local access only from Dorset Street Lower on to Eccles Place - Synott Place - Innisfallen Parade - St Ignatius Road.
WICKLOW:
From Tuesday June 6th, roadworks on R117, Enniskerry to N11/Bray Road, for about two months. Delays can be expected between 9.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
WESTMEATH:
Until at least mid-June, road works and single lane traffic on N6 at new dual Carriageway at Tyrrellspass. Expect delays.
LIMERICK:
Until further notice, traffic on Lower Mallow St will not turn left (on to Henry St), at traffic signals at Lower Mallow Street and Henry Street junction.
CORK:
From Tuesday, June 6th, to Friday, June 30th, R612 Crosshaven Rd from junction at Kilnagleary Business Park to Frenchfurze Crossroads closed. Alternative routes: eastbound to Crosshaven: go southeast from Crosshaven Road via LS6507. Then north via R612-168 to Frenchfurze Crossroads;
Westbound from Crosshaven: go south from Crosshaven Road via R612-168. Then northwest via LS6507 to Kilnagleary Business Park.
