Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
From June 19th until July 29th, the Old Swords Rd closed between Collins Ave to Swords Rd/Larkhill Rd, from 7am to 7pm daily, to through traffic and houses south of the work will access from Collins Avenue. Houses north of work area will access over a temporary access at north end of the newly-built retaining wall. Pedestrian and local vehicular access will be maintained at all times.
On June 10th from 6am to 11pm on June 11th the N1 Off-Slip closed from N1 halfway to junction with Shantalla Road.
On June 11th partial road closure on Upper O'Connell Street. North and southbound carriageways closed between junctions with Cathedral Street and Sackville Place, from 9am to 11.30am.
On June 10th, 8am to 4pm Fitzwilliam Lane closed between its junctions with Fitzwilliam Street Lower and Baggotrath Place.
WICKLOW:
Until August, road improvement works e on the R117, Enniskerry to N11/Bray Road, approx. two months. Delays can be expected between 9.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
LOUTH:
Permanent changes have been made to traffic flows in Drogheda:
a) Laurence Street one way from West Street to St Laurence Gate;
b) Palace Street one way from Laurence Street to King St;
c) Traffic flow on William Street reversed, to flow from Palace Street to Fair Street.
d) Traffic flow on Peter Street reversed, to flow from Magdalene St to Shop St;
e) Traffic from Chord Road, Constitution Hill and Francis Street not permitted to travel under St Laurence Gate. This is one way from Laurence Street only.
Some bus stops have also been relocated.
LIMERICK:
Until further notice, traffic on Lower Mallow St will not be permitted to turn left (on to Henry St). This restriction is at the traffic signals at the Lower Mallow Street and Henry Street junction.
CORK:
Until August 1st, Oliver Plunkett Street is closed at Grand Parade Junction for the Grand Parade Streetscape Renewal Project Phase I and 2. Traffic changes as follows:
- Oliver Plunkett Street between Princes Street and Marlborough Street is reversed. The section between Princes Street and Grand parade is access only to facilitate deliveries. Traders will need to advise suppliers that large trucks must not be routed down Oliver Plunkett Street during this period as the junction cannot facilitate such vehicles turning south towards South Mall.
- Traffic movement on Beasly St / Caroline St / Pembroke St / Robert St / Cook St/ Morgan St / Princes St and Marlborough St will be unchanged.
Until Friday June 30th, R612 Crosshaven Rd from junction at Kilnagleary Business Park to Frenchfurze Crossroads is closed. Alternative routes:
- Eastbound to Crosshaven travel southeast from Crosshaven Road via LS6507. Then travel north via R612-168 to Frenchfurze Crossroads.
- Westbound from Crosshaven, go south from Crosshaven Road via R612-168. Then northwest via LS6507 to Kilnagleary Business Park.
