Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
On Saturday, September 9th, from 1pm to 7pm the following will be closed for a motorcycle race: St Monica's Rd, Blackhill to Balcunnin, from junction with St Monica's Rd to junction with Blake's Cross/Skerries Rd. Blake's Cross/Skerries Rd from junction with Blackhill/Balcunnin Road to junction with Knock Cross to Balcunnin Rd. Knock Cross to Balcunnin Rd from junction with Blake's Cross/Skerries Rd to junction with Killalane Rd. Killalane Rd from junction with Knock Cross/Balcunnin Rd to junction with St Monica's Rd. Diversion route for vehicles going from Lusk to Skerries via main roads - Lusk to Rush and Rush to Skerries.
From today until Sunday, September 24th (8pm to 6am), a section of Belgard Rd will close. from junction with N81 to its junction with Belgard Sq North. Alternative routes: southwards - Belgard Rd via Belgard Way, Belgard Sq East, Belgard Sq South, N81 Tallaght Bypass. Northwards - Belgard Rd via Tallaght Bypass, Cookstown Way, Belgard Sq North, Belgard Way, Belgard Rd.
From today 'til September 1st Fitzwilliam Street closed. Traffic from Irishtown Rd to Bridge St via Fitzwilliam St, will divert via Irishtown Rd - Bridge Street. It is proposed to allow two-way traffic on Fitzwilliam St from junction with Bridge St for 55 metres.
Until tomorrow Griffith Ave/Swords Rd jct closed, 9pm and 6am. Diversion routes: traffic on Griffith Ave at junction with Ballymun Rd going east, will divert via Ballymun Rd, Collins Ave Extension, Collins Ave West and Grace Park Rd. Traffic on Griffith Ave at junction with Grace Park Rd going west diverts north via Grace Park, Collins Ave West, Collins avenue Extension and Ballymun Road. Southbound traffic on Ballymun Rd at junction with Griffith Ave going left on to Griffith Ave diverts via St Mobhi Rd, Home Farm Rd, Drumcondra Rd, Richmond Rd and Grace Park Rd. Southbound traffic on Swords Road diverts Collins Ave West, Collins Ave Extension and Ballymun Rd, and northbound on Drumcondra Rd diverts via Home Farm Rd, Ballymun Rd and Collins Ave extension and Collins Ave West.
Until Friday, October 27th, part of John F Kennedy Drive in Bluebell closed for replacement of existing river Camac culvert that crosses John F Kennedy Drive. Alternative routes via John F. Kennedy Drive, John F Kennedy Ave, Bluebell Ave, Kylemore Rd, Old Naas Rd & John F Kennedy Drive.
LAOIS:
From September 1st to September 3rd inclusive, Electric Picnic music festival at Stradbally Estate, about 10 minutes outside Portlaoise on the N80.
CLARE:
From September 1st to October 1st , the Matchmaking Festival in Lisdoonvarna. Expect delays on the N67.
LIMERICK:
On September 4th, works on the following: Thomas St from junction with Little Catherine Street to junction of Little William Street. Little Catherine St from William St to Thomas St. Arthur's Quay Park to remove chewing gum from paved surfaces.
WATERFORD:
Until September 11th works on N25 approach road to Kilmeaden from Dungarvan. Traffic lights from 8am to 6pm each day.
CORK:
On Saturday, September 2nd, from 9am - 6pm and on Sunday September 3rd from 10am to 6pm, part of R907 Midleton Main St will be closed, on Midleton Main St from AIB Bank to McDaids Bar for the Midleton Food and Drink Festival 2006.
