Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN: Dunsink Lane/Ratoath Rd junction closed until further notice, delays at rush hour on all surrounding roads. Access to Dunsink Lane via Navan Rd.
Motorists on the M50 northbound should be aware of new height restrictors on the Eazy Pass Express lane at the West-Link Toll Plaza. New road markings and signage also apply.
Kilmacud Rd Upper will close between Stoney Rd & Dundrum Main St on Friday, October 22nd at 8 p.m. until Monday, November 1st at 6 a.m, for o completion of new Taney high voltage station. Local access maintained, diversions signposted.
KILDARE: resurfacing on Hazelhatch Rd (R405) in Cellbridge on October 16th & 17th, from junction with Lucan Rd at Liffey Bridge to new road adjacent to St Wolstan's Abbey Housing Estate on Hazelhatch Rd, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Diversions in place.
Works continue on N9 in Castledermot with stop/go system, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., temporary lights from 6 p.m. overnight: archaeological pre-dig in advance of drainage works.
MEATH: Roadworks and temporary traffic lights north of Ashbourne on N2, affecting traffic in both directions. Stop and go system during the day; after 7 p.m. temporary lights.
WICKLOW: Contra flow on southbound carriageway of N11 from Newtown to Kilpedder for about two more weeks. Allow extra time for journeys.
KILKENNY: Roadworks and temporary traffic lights coming out of Kilkenny on Carlow Rd at Clara, for at least two weeks. Expect delays.
New traffic layout at N10 Kilkenny Ring Rd. No right turn from Outrath road, towards Bennetsbridge roundabout. No right turn from Kilkenny Ring road to Outrath Rd. Use new roundabout on Waterford Rd.
LIMERICK: Road between Main St in Croom and Honeypound Cross closed for construction of a foul sewer and surface water sewer.
LONGFORD: Roadworks and temporary traffic lights on N4 between Longford town and Edgeworthstown.
OFFALY: Resurfacing on N7 at Moneygall. Temporary traffic lights - delays expected.
GALWAY: Pavement overlay works at Carnmore Cross until 5 p.m. daily. Use alternative route - long delays expected.
ROSCOMMON: Roadworks and temporary traffic lights on N5 between Tulsk and Strokestown, until early November. It is a particularly dangerous stretch of road so motorists are asked to drive with extreme care.
TIPPERARY: Essential road strengthening on four km stretch of N24 from Cahir bypass towards Bansha. Temporary traffic lights in operation.
WATERFORD: Outbound traffic on Cork Rd diverted at Yellow House Pub. Traffic diverted towards the city landfill into Ballybeg Drive and returning to the N25 Cork Rd at the Ballybeg junction traffic lights.
KERRY: R555 (Listowel to Abbeyfeale Road) closed for roadworks. Detours in operation.
CORK: St Patricks Street one-way from Merchants Quay to Grand Parade for works on Grand Parade. Major delays at peak times.
