Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN: In order to repair the over bridge at the Rathcoole Interchange, the bridge will be closed to all traffic and pedestrians.
TRAVEL NEWS: DART and Commuter services will operate normally every day and weekend up to and including 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Normal weekend services will operate on the Belfast and Sligo routes. No rail services Christmas Day and St Stephen's Day. Full services on December 27th. Normal weekend services on Belfast and Sligo routes.
Additional trains from Galway to Dublin on Saturday, December 11th at 7.25 a.m. (7.25 depart Galway, 8.13 depart Athlone, 8.40 depart Tullamore, 9.50 arrive Heuston.) Luas night link will operate until December 23rd. Trams from 12.30 a.m. Last tram inbound at 2.30 a.m. and outbound at 3 a.m.

KILDARE: Works at Johnstown and Kill for N7 road widening and interchange scheme.

MEATH: Roadworks and temporary traffic lights north of Ashbourne on N2. "Stop and go" system during the day, after 7 p.m. temporary lights.
WESTMEATH: Works on Athlone Bypass - overtaking lane blocked for 2km from roundabout on Dublin side of Athlone - 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
MONAGHAN: One-way shuttle works on N2 Carrickmacross bypass. Temporary lights on N2 between Ardee and Carrickmacross, three miles south of Carrickmacross.
SLIGO: Building safety barrier on central reserve of N4 between Carrowroe and Collooney.
TIPPERARY: Works on (R445) Limerick Rd out of Nenagh between Careys Glass and Springfort Cross Junction.
CORK: Delays on N20 between Rathduff and Mallow for construction of "2+1" scheme.
A section of Waterfall Rd will be closed from O'Shea's Bar in Waterfall.
