Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN
From Monday July 31st to Saturday August 5th a section of the N4 eastbound will be closed. This is in order to erect the Ballydowd Footbridge.
The alternative routes are; eastbound via Ballyowen Interchange/N4 Eastbound, Outer Ring Road, Old Lucan Road, Lucan Road N4 Eastbound.
Westbound via Ballyowen Interchange/N4 Westbound, Ballyowen Interchange/N4 Westbound, Lucan By-Pass Westbound.
Diversion signs will be erected.Local access will be maintained at all times.
From tomorrow until December 23rd, the Ballyboggan Rd is due to be closed between Broombridge Rd and Ratoath Rd. Phase 1 of the work will take place between Ballyboggan Industrial Estate (Glanbia/ MD) and Tolka Valley Business Park and will last for 10 weeks. Phase 2 of the works will be between Ballyboggan Industrial Estate (Glanbia /RMD) and the Ratoath Road and will last 6 weeks.
Phase 3 of the works will be between The Tolka Valley Business Park and the junction with Broombridge Road and will last for 6 weeks. It is also proposed that the whole duration of the closure (Phase 1, 2 & 3), two-way traffic signals be installed on Broombridge Road. Local access will be maintained at all times.
From 25th to 26th July 2006, Fitzwilliam St, Dublin 4, will be temporarily closed to facilitate preparation of construction works.
Traffic wishing to travel from Irishtown Road to Bridge Street via Fitzwilliam Street, will be diverted via Irishtown Road - Bridge Street.
KILKENNY
The N77 Kilkenny/ Ballyragget Road is closed until July 29th. Local diversions are in place via Castlecomer and Freshford.
MEATH
Until 5pm on Sunday August 20th, the R150 from the junction of the R153 to Cr394 in Kentstown is closed. This closure is necessary to facilitate the resurfacing of the R150 through Kentstown Village.
The alternative routes are: 1. At the junction of the R150/R153 travel east along the R153 to the junction with the N2 (Balrath Cross). At this junction turn left and continue to the next junction (Flemington Cross), turn left onto the R150.
2. Traffic on the R150 continues towards the N2 (Flemington Cross), turn right at this junction and proceed to the next junction (Balrath Cross) and turn right onto the R153.
Diversion signs will be in place. Residents and property holders will be facilitated with access throughout the closure period.
CORK
Until Friday July 28th, lane restrictions are in place on Lavitt's Quay and there is no left turn from St Patrick's Street onto Lavitt's Quay to facilitate Footpath Works.
Until Saturday, July 29th, Ballyhooly Road is closed from Saint Luke's Cross to Dillon's Cross for resurfacing works until 5pm.
Diversion signs are in place.
Wilton Avenue will be closed today from 8am to 5pm for resurfacing works. Also on Thursday, July 27th, Coakley's Row will be closed.
