Routes to avoid around the country this week.
DUBLIN: Southbound carriageway of N11 at Wyattville closed daily, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both lanes affected Works are to complete Wyattville Interchange and N11 upgrade, including construction of 2 km of Foxrock to Bray Quality Bus Corridor. Single lane closures for northbound and southbound traffic between Loughlinstown Roundabout and Cabinteely.
Works on N1 in Swords from the Estuary Roundabout to the Lissenhall interchange, until approximately December 15th and are carried out from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, then Saturdays between 8 am and 2 pm. Traffic be diverted onto a contraflow system on the inbound carriageway.
Ferndale Road near Rathmichael Church in Shankill closed for M50 southeastern works. North traffic diverts junction N11/Old Connaught Road via N11, Crinken Lane and Ballybride Road. Southbound traffic diverts via Ballybride Road, Crinken Lane and N11.
KILDARE: Race meetings at the Punchestown Racecourse on Saturday and Sunday, 12.30 and 3.30 p.m. both days. Traffic on the Naas to Ballymore Eustace Road (R411) and N7 will be slightly heavier shortly before and after the races.
MEATH: Works on N2 about one mile on Dublin side of Ashbourne, daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., stop/go system is in place there also.
LOUTH: Works on Dundalk to Armagh Road (N177) from junction with N1 at Lisdoo Arms. Delays likely, traffic will be single lane.
GALWAY: Works on N6 Dual Carriageway from Western Motors Roundabout to Doughiska Roundabout. Traffic reduced to one lane. Expect delays.
OFFALY: Works on N62 in Ferbane. Traffic using the N62 northbound or southbound should divert via Ballinahown, Cloghan or Tullamore. The works will be in place until at least Feb '04.
CORK: Lower Glanmire Road to re-opens tomorrow. Inbound traffic divert viathe Jack Lynch Tunnel or Mayfield onto the North Ring Rd. Courthouse St at the junction of Washington St junction closed. Westbound traffic use the Quays andavoid Grattan St.
Works on N71(Cork-Bandon Rd) at Viaduct Dual Carriageway. Cork city- bound traffic divert to Western Bound Carriageway: two-way system on Western Bound Carriageway, and delays are expected.
TIPPERARY: Races at Clonmel Racecourse on Sunday, 12.20 p.m. and 3.20 p.m. and on Monday, December 8th, 1 p.m. and 3.20 p.m. Traffic will be noticeablyheavier on main Waterford-Limerick Rd (N24) on both days. Races at Thurles Racecourse tomorrow, 12.30 and 3.30p.m., expect extra traffic on the N8. Resurfacing on N8 on Dublin side of Cashel. Expect delays.
DONEGAL: New temporary traffic lights on N56 coming into Killybegs causing delays in morning rush-hour.
KERRY: Works on N21 between Tralee and Ballycarty. The works are between Ratass at the east of Tralee town and the recently completed Ballycarty Roundabout where the N21 and N22 converge. This route currently serves traffic to and from Tralee and Limerick on the N21 and Killarney and Cork on the N22.
