Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN : Haydens Lane, Lucan closed - banks have subsided and road is collapsing.
River Lane, Shankill closed for flood prevention works with Shanganagh River Management Scheme. Alternative route via Rathsallagh Distributor Road.
Angelsea Row (off Capel St) closed between northern and southern tip of Millfront Façade, for re-development of the site.
Cathedral St closed for refurbishment of buildings - no through access, but pedestrian access maintained on north footpath beside Pro-Cathedral.
MEATH: Works on Main St in Enfield, as part of Enfield Sewerage Scheme. Use Enfield bypass.
OFFALY: Roadworks on N52 on main Tullamore to Birr Road (Between Blueball and the Idle Corner), traffic lights.
LOUTH: Traffic management plan on Dundalk Western bypass - northbound traffic diverts west at new roundabout, north of Dundalk Greyhound Track on to new link road towards old N1 to Ballymacscanlon roundabout, onto CR97 (Faughert/Jonesborough Rd), then east on new stretch of Western Bypass, back to normal route.
Southbound traffic unaffected. Temporary speed limit, 50km/h. Plan is for building of culverts on N52 and completion of Wearing Course at N52/R132 Roundabout. Traffic entering Ballymascanlon Roundabout from R173 (Carlingford Road) for N1 to Dundalk will divert south to link with diverted northbound traffic at junction of N52 and Racecourse Road. Traffic south from Belfast/Newry for Dundalk via N1 routed as above.
However, from Friday until Tuesday, May 3rd, because of Bank Holiday traffic, Newry and Carlingford traffic will not be affected. But traffic management plan will be back in place on Tuesday, May 3rd.
CLARE: Resurfacing on N20 from O'Rourkes Cross to County Bounds. One-way traffic in normal working hours, controlled by flagmen. Alternative route via Kilmallock.
GALWAY: Works on Dublin Road at Bon Secours Hospital, long delays likely.
TIPPERARY: Works on Moneygall side of Toomevara on N7.
North Tipperary : Ballina/ Killaloe bridge closed between 8pm today to 7am tomorrow, preparatory works for traffic lights on bridge. Pedestrian access maintained. Alternative crossing via R466 at O'Briens Bridge or via N65 Portumna.
WATERFORD: One-way system and traffic lights on Tramore Road for construction works at Tramore Rd Roundabout. Minor delays.
KERRY: Works on Conor Pass Road finished ahead of schedule.
Roadworks on N70 Ring of Kerry. Traffic restrictions between Kells Station and Cahirciveen. Delays expected.
Works on N21 between Tralee and Ballycarty, between Ratass east of Tralee and recently completed Ballycarty Roundabout, where N21 & N22 converge. Route currently serves traffic to and from Tralee and Limerick on N21 and Killarney and Cork on N22.
CORK: Point Road, Crosshaven, from entrance to new Eastern Car Park to entrance to Piper's Yard closed. Residents access maintained via Camden Rd and Point Lane. This closure is for Crosshaven Sewerage Scheme.
