Routes to avoid during the week ahead

DUBLIN: Oldcourt Road, Tallaght closed for building new road and laying of storm pipes and water mains.

Haydens Lane in Lucan closed - the banks have subsided, and the road is collapsing.

River Lane, Shankill closed for flood prevention works for Shanganagh River Management Scheme. Local access maintained. Alternative route via Rathsallagh Distributor Road in both directions.

Nelson St closed at junction with Eccles St from 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

MEATH: Roadworks on Main St Enfield, as part of Enfield Sewerage Scheme. Use Enfield bypass. Local access maintained.

WESTMEATH: Works on N62 near Ballinahown village south of Athlone .

OFFALY: Works on N52, main Tullamore to Birr Road (Between Blueball and the Idle Corner). Traffic lights in operation.

LOUTH: A traffic management plan is in place on Dundalk Western. All northbound traffic diverts west at new roundabout, north of Dundalk Greyhound Track on to new link road towards old N1 to Ballymacscanlon roundabout, to CR97 (Faughert/Jonesborough Rd), then east on new stretch of Western Bypass, finally back to normal route. Southbound traffic unaffected. Speed limit of 50km/h.

Plan is to facilitate construction of culverts on N52 and completion of Wearing Course at N52/R132 Roundabout.

GALWAY: Roadworks on Dublin Road at Bon Secours Hospital - long delays likely. New traffic layout in place.

LIMERICK: Resurfacing on N20 from O'Rourkes Cross to the County Bounds. One way f traffic in normal working hours, controlled by flagmen. Alternative route via Kilmallock. This is not, however, a mandatory diversion.

Clancy Strand closed from junction with Ennis Road to junction with N7, for Limerick Main Drainage Contract Works.

TIPPERARY: Roadworks on Moneygall side of Toomevara on N7.

Resurfacing works on N7 Dublin Rd, Roscrea at Racket Hall. Temporary traffic lights - delays expected.

WATERFORD : One-way system, traffic lights on Tramore Road for works at Tramore Rd Roundabout. Minor delays likely.

KERRY: Major works on N70 Ring of Kerry. Traffic restrictions in place between Kells Station and Cahirciveen. Delays expected.

Roadworks on N21 between Tralee and Ballycarty between Ratass east of Tralee and recently completed Ballycarty Roundabout where N21 & N22 converge. This currently serves traffic to and from Tralee and Limerick on N21 and Killarney and Cork on N22.

CORK: Point Road, Crosshaven, from entrance to new Eastern Car Park to entrance to Piper's Yard closed, for Crosshaven Sewerage Scheme. Access for residents maintained via Camden Rd and Point Lane.
