Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN: From 9pm tonight until 6am tomorrow, M50 closed to southbound traffic from Balinteer interchange to Leopardstown for erection of sign gantries; traffic diverted via Green Route, Drummartin Link Rd and Sandyford Industrial Estate.
From 9pm this Friday to 11am Saturday, contra flow on M50 from Kellystown Bridge to east of Ballinteer interchange; southbound exit from M50 at Ballinteer interchange closed; traffic for Ballinteer to exit at Leopardstown and divert via Leopardstown Rd, Sandyford Industrial Estate, Drummartin Link Rd and Green Route.
KILDARE: Diversions on N4 at Kilcock until December; traffic diverted to new slip roads; traffic to and from Kilcock to use existing Pitchfordstown Link Road as usual; routes signposted.
MEATH: Works on Main St, Enfield, to end of June; through traffic should use Enfield bypass.
LOUTH: Works on N2 south of Ardee at Hunterstown; traffic plan on Dundalk western bypass; northbound traffic no longer diverted west at N52/Racecourse Rd - it will go north to new roundabout north of Dundalk Greyhound Track and diverted westwards on new link road to junction with old Newry Rd north of graveyard, north on old N1 to Jonesborough Rd, then diverted east to new section of Dundalk western bypass joining old Newry Rd 500m north of Ballymacscanlon roundabout; northbound traffic is diverted from existing Ballymascanlon roundabout; section of old Newry Rd from junction of new link road and N1 to point where northbound traffic is diverted eastward off Jonesborough is one-way; traffic going south on Jonesborough Rd towards Dundalk diverted east along new section of Dundalk western bypass to new roundabout on Newry Rd, south through Ballymascanlon roundabout, and south to new roundabout on N52 , turning west along new link road and joining old Newry Rd.
KILKENNY: Works on N9 outside Gowran Park Racecourse until this Friday; traffic lights in operation from 7am to 7pm.
LAOIS: Works on N7 between Ballaghmore and Castletown 8am-6pm Monday to Friday and 8am-3pm Saturday until about July 16; stop/go system and traffic lights in operation.
OFFALY: N62 Roscrea Rd/ Birr closed from junction of Crinkle Rd to junction of Military Rd for 1km from Monday June 13 until Monday July 11; diversions.
CORK: Two-way traffic on Lancaster Quay/Washington St from Mardyke St to Courthouse St from 12 noon tomorrow.
CLARE: Works on N18 south of Bunratty until Wednesday, August 31. Limerick-Shannon carriageway and Shannon- Limerick carriageway both reduced to single lanes. Allow extra time for journeys especially 7am-10am and 4pm-7pm.
KERRY: Major works on N70 Ring of Kerry until mid-July; restrictions between Kells Station and Cahirciveen.
DONEGAL: New roundabout being built at Tullyearl junction in Donegal town; cars coming from Sligo direction cannot access the town at junction; they must use Ballybofey roundabout.
SLIGO: Diversion south of Hughes Bridge (Queens Store Rd) until Tuesday June 30 for tie-in of new inner relief road.
