Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
Roadworks on Snugboro Road between roundabout on N3 and Ballycoolin Road on weekdays. Expect delays.
From October 3 Daleview, Ballybrack to junction with Church Rd will be closed. Alternative route via Wyattville Dual Carriageway, Wyattville Rd.
On October 2 and 3, no exit for southbound traffic from the M50 to Red Cow exit from 10pm until 6am. Traffic will divert via Ballymount.
KILDARE:
From Monday October 3, Castlewarden North Junction closed with N7 Dublin-bound for N7 Naas Road Widening and Interchanges. Alternative route via Ardclough Road (L6021) junction with N7.Diversion signs will be erected.
WICKLOW:
Roadworks on N81 1km south of Hollywood Cross, for widening of road over a 1km section, to provide hardshoulder. Stop/go system is in place.
CARLOW:
Pipe laying on R705 Leighlinbridge to Bagenalstown Road, from 8am to 6pm daily.
MEATH:
N52 - Kells/ Ardee Rd has reopened ahead of schedule though there are still some minor restrictions in place.
WESTMEATH:
Road surfacing works on N4 Mullingar Bypass at Cullenmór, 7.30am to 6.30pm each day. Works also on Saturday, 7.30am to 3.30pm. Expect delays.
OFFALY:
N80 closed between Tober (Offaly) and Moate (Westmeath) 8am to 8pm daily, until approximately Monday October 17, but will be open at weekends. Alternative route: vehicles for Tullamore diverted along N6 to Kilbeggan where they take N52 to Tullamore. Vehicles for Athlone diverted at N80 Roundabout in Tullamore along N52 to Kilbeggan, then diverted along N6 to Athlone.
KILKENNY:
Works on N10 at Dunbell, with temporary traffic lights.
LIMERICK:
R518 Rathkeale to Askeaton road closed daily, 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, for road improvement works.
CORK:
Short Quay at Market Quay is closed.
Roadworks on N22 Cork/Killarney Road at Lissarda. Avoid the area if possible - delays expected.
KERRY:
Works on the Conor Pass Road, east of Dingle. Expect delays.
TIPPERARY:
New traffic lights on Ballina/Killaloe Bridge - some delays on Ballina side of bridge. However, motorists trying to avoid separate roadworks on Nenagh side of Birdhill (N7) near Ballyhan are getting caught in the lights at Ballina/Killaloe bridge.
WATERFORD:
Major traffic restrictions and delays on N25, in Kilmeaden, for surfacing works.
MONAGHAN:
Resurfacing on N2 Carrickmacross Bypass at Dundalk Road Interchange just south of Carrickmacross on mainline N2. Drive with care.
