Next weekend, there's the Phoenix Park motor races and on the eve of the event, on Friday evening, Alfa Romeo is hosting a gala dinner. Special guest for the evening will be Eddie Irvine and he will bring along his 1996 Formula One Ferrari. Ferrari's test driver, Niccola Latina, is also attending as are Stefano Modena and Christian Danner, stars of the Touring Car Championships along with their specially race-prepared Alfa 155s. Alfa Romeo's chief stylist, Walter de Silva will be another guest and he will provide sketches on his latest car project, the Alfa 156. The sketches will be auctioned among guests to raise funds for Chernobyl children's project.
Toyota Ireland has announced that all new Carina models registered this month will be serviced for three years or 36,000 miles free of charge to the customer. The promotion was originally launched for Carina buyers for just last month but now it has been extended.
Truck Show '97 is on at Mondello Park, Co Kildare on the weekend of August 23rd and 24th. Saturday will be a trade day, and on Sunday there will be action on the track including three performances by racing trucks.
