"We've been here five years; we built the house ourselves. My wife, Catherine, and I work in the university. I'm only five minutes from work; it's very handy. They have a creche, and the little fella, my two-year-old son, Marcus, goes in there. I couldn't ask for better.
"I'm from the city originally. It's slightly rural here. There's nothing like living in the country; it's fantastic. At night there are no lights. It's a bit of a shock initially when you come out and it gets dark and you can't see the hand in front of your face. Also, you have all the different animals coming into the garden. I'd never go back to living in the city. In this area, people are there for each other, but they're not in each other's faces. We'd have no problem going across to the neighbours or them to us, yet we wouldn't be too involved in their lives.
"It's amazing, the buzz there is about this match. You can see it with all the cars going around with Munster flags. They sold out of Munster shirts at one stage. It's been match fever. Everyone I've spoken to in Thomond Park - from England or Wales or Scotland or wherever - can see for themselves that there is something special with the Munster team.
"The unfortunate thing is that the new motorway being built between Limerick and Nenagh is coming our way, so our house is being taken from us. It looks like we might only have a month or so left in this house before we have to move. We haven't negotiated a deal yet. It's a slow enough process.
"At the moment I can look out the back window and see fields behind me, but this road is just going to come right along these fields, straight up to my house. We weren't even in the house when we found out. We had just put the roof on. We were left sitting in a house that wasn't finished, because there was no point dumping money into it after we found out.
"We'd like to stay in the countryside - this is my home now. I've put everything into building this house. We wouldn't like to move farther than a mile away. We searched long and hard and found a place here, and we don't want to move, but we have to. We're looking at a site not far from us. My wife's family are living there. It probably would be a bit closer-knit over there. But we're happy like that."
