DESCRIBE WHAT YOU'RE WEARINGThe black jeans are from TopShop, the white shirt is from All Saints and the T-shirt from American Apparel. The leather belt is from a London boutique and the boots are by Pedro Garcia, from Coco Ribbon. The scarf is my mother's.
DO YOU WEAR YOUR MOTHER'S CLOTHES?I used to wear her shoes, but my feet seem to have got smaller. I was size five and am now size four.
WHAT'S THE MOST YOU'VE EVER SPENT?This Balenciaga bag, which I bought in Paris with my first pay cheque, and it's the best thing I've ever bought. It fits scripts inside, as well as being so simple. My mother bought the Hermès scarf (that's on it) in Paris.
DO YOU LIKE SHOPPING?I hate shopping. I shop like a man. I can manage when I have to get something specific, but I can't do aimless wandering around stores.
DESCRIBE YOUR STYLEIt's very relaxed. I wear what's comfortable and I don't like looking overstyled. I wear a lot of cashmere and very skinny jeans with loose tops because I like the contrast. I don't like to look fitted all over, but to balance it out.
DO YOU HAVE FAVOURITE SHOPS?In Dublin, Dolls; in London probably Matches, also TopShop and Liberty.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE ITEM?My great-grandmother's gold watch chain, which I wear around my neck all the time.
IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULDN'T WEAR?I don't like pink and I am not into girlie stuff, bows and frills, sugary looking things.
WHO INFLUENCES YOUR STYLE?My best friend Caoimhe - if she buys something I have to have it too. Costume is an influence too, especially period costume because you have to look at things in a different way. My posture is better - you can't slouch in the medieval costume I wore as Morgana in the BBC series Merlin; it was silk, cut on the bias exactly on my skin.
D O YOU LIKE DRESSING UP?I used to dress up and wear red carpet dresses, but when you have to wear them every day , it makes you want to reverse dress up.
WHAT ABOUT GROOMING?I have beautiful hair and make-up done every day . I used to work for Mac and doing make-up on people every day made me tired of it and the last thing I want to do. My hair has been dyed every three weeks for work.
DO YOU WEAR A LOT OF BLACK?I wear a lot of black, white and grey. I like wearing white as a contrast to my hair.
WHOSE STYLE DO YOU ADMIRE?Chrissie Hynes and Patti Smith. And the costume designer Charlotte Morris because she never looks like she's tired. At 5am she looks brilliant.
DO YOU PREFER JEANS TO DRESSES?I used to wear 1960s dresses, but I wear jeans now because I wear dresses all day for work.
