The online fashion shop Net-A-Porter may be one of the world’s most visited websites but up until now it’s been strictly women only. Figuring what has worked so well for women will also work well for men, the site has just introduced a male version.
Called Mr Porter, it has a combination of high-end couture brands along with more economically viable names. You won’t see the word “fashion” anywhere on the site (men don’t like it apparently), so instead the more neutral and manly term “style” is used. And compared to the women’s site the models are a bit more realistic – they’re using “normal blokes” as opposed to six-pack-wielding, cheekbone-sporting Adonis types. mrporter.com
