The pair met in November 2005 while taking part in a 10-day charity trek in the Peruvian Andes for Concern. They sat together on the 14- hour flight to Lima and both say the trek was “a life-changing experience”. Three years later, Mark proposed while they were hiking in Yosemite National Park, during a Californian roadtrip. Following the church service, the wedding party made their way to Bellinter House for their reception. The couple missed the snow in early January while they honeymooned in Florida and on a week-long Caribbean cruise.
