ALICE IN WONDERLAND

This production, performed by Upstart Theatre Company, runs at various times over the weekend in the gardens at Anaverna House in Dundalk, Co Louth. A weekend of music, arts and culture takes place tomorrow and Sunday in Temple Bar’s Meeting House Square, with a line-up that includes Sharon Shannon (left), Damien Dempsey and Paddy Casey. BOG VISIT

The annual ‘tapestry of the bog’ tour takes place this Sunday at Curragha Bog near Lacken Castle in Lorrha, Co Tipperary. The tour leaves Friars Tavern in Lorrha at 11.30am and is led by guide Mary McGeeney. Later, at 2.30pm, a complimentary tour of Redwood Castle is also organised. MASTERS OF TRADITION FESTIVAL

This year’s festival ends continues this weekend, with Liz Kane, Brendan Begley and Caoimhín O’Raghallaigh tonight at 7.30pm, while the gala concert on Sunday sees a host of musicians including Martin Hayes, Denis Cahill and Steve Cooney perform on Sunday evening. BRUFF RUGBY

The 63rd annual Tullow show takes place this Sunday at Coppenagh, and aims to showcase the best cattle, sheep and horses in the country. Other attractions include tug of war, food and craft displays and donkey and goat classes. tullowshow.com

GET KNITTING

Two knit-ins are hosted in aid of the charity Age Action this weekend. The first one takes place in the Avoca shop in Kilmacanogue, Co Wicklow, tomorrow from noon to 3pm, while Airfield farm in Dundrum, Dublin 14, hosts a similar event on Sunday at the same time. PATTERN FESTIVAL
