Electric vehicles might once have been seen merely as accessories for conspicuous environmentalists, but their increasing popularity in the US means they might very well become the defining must-have vehicle of the next decade - the anti-Hummer, if you will.

Greenaer.ie, Irish distributor of the pioneering, and dinky, REVAi electric car (right), has recently added three new products to their line-up. The Go Motorboard (left, €450) is a turbo-charged scooter for those who need a little more oomph than they can achieve with traditional scooters.

They also have the EasyMini from EasyBike (above left), an electrically assisted foldable bike with a top speed of 25km per hour, which costs €950, and the more conventional, and by that we mean leg-powered, Mobiky Genius folding bike(€699), which is the most environmentally friendly mode of transport of the lot.
