CLOTHES LINES:We all know about the LBD (little black dress), but what about the LBR? That stands for little black ring, and it's an idea from jewellery duo Lee Harding and Sé O'Donoghue, who call themselves Da Capo (meaning "from the beginning").

The pair, who are based in the Design Tower in Dublin 2, are have taken on some unusual commissions (such as cufflinks in the shape of buildings for architects, and a silver pendant made in the shape of a surfboard for a sportsman) and they designed their little black ring (above) in l8ct white gold with a 12.8ct hematite surrounded by diamonds. This cute little number costs €2,750.

Their current collection features a number of wedding bands in platinum and diamond (made exclusively for DesignYard in Nassau Street, Dublin 2), as well as a flamboyant showpiece ring carrying a 10pt "champagne" diamond and fire opal encased in a dome-like setting. Da Capo is at Studio 61, the Design Tower, Grand Canal Quay, Dublin 2, tel: 01-6753867; www.dacapo.ie
