Blow the SSIA
Dulux is all well and good, but if you want real de-luxe paint, Farrow & Ball is the place to go. Just in time to catch the first of the SSIA money, the company now has a showroom on Cornmarket, Dublin 8. Just be prepared to max out your card to get paints that are still made with vegetable dyes and other traditional ingredients: paints with names as attention-grabbing as Elephant's Breath (grey), Mouse's Back (grey), Pigeon (greyish), Sugar Bag Light (er, greyish) and Dead Salmon (dull pink) come with hefty price tags - about €60 for five litres.
