WICKLOW WALKS:Tomorrow's An Óige walks will be in Glenmalure at Slieve Maan Forest and finish at Drumgoff.
There’s two grades – easy and moderate – with the longer walk taking in Croghanmoira and Fananeerin. On Sunday next week, the walks start from Glencree at Curtlestown Wood and finish at Djouce Woods car park. The longer walk includes Maulin and Djouce. Bring proper boots, raingear and refreshments. On each day, a bus leaves Eden Quay at 10.30am. Cost: €12. Priority to An Óige members. Additionally, there will be a slide show at the Dublin International Hostel, 61 Mountjoy St, D7 next Friday at 8pm featuring the national parks of America – Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce. JOYCE COUNTRY GEOFEIS:GeoFeis in "Joyce Country", Co Galway is packed with events which explore and interpret the landscape of south Mayo and north Galway through a mix of walks, lectures, theatre and geology field trips.
