False Bay Chenin Blanc 2006, Coastal Region, 14%, €9.99.Bargain-hunters should head straight for this bottle. I love the plump ripe melons and the distinctive touch of spicy fresh ginger. This would make a great party wine, but would also happily partner Thai chicken and pork dishes.

Super medium-bodied wine of real class, and a great bargain at under €10. Try it with cold meats such as ham.
