I'm not a massive fan of make-up. I think good skin, hair, teeth and nails are really important. I don't wear foundation. But I like to do up my eyes and lips, and I can't resist a bit of glitter at times, and I know I need to get one of those concealers"

THE BAG: "A Chloe snakeskin one that a friend gave me. It doubles as an evening purse." WHAT'S INSIDE: Clinique Glosswear for Lips: "In "Airkiss", a natural pinky peach shade." Sisley Glossy Gloss: "Mine is "Crystal", a really sparkly sheer that goes over my other gloss at night." Clinique Quick Eye: "An ingenious black kohl pencil with a little pot of shadow at the other end. I like to smudge it over lashes and eyelids before drawing a sharp line." Chanel Ombre Unique Shadow Lights: "At night I put the very black "Tatou" on lids for a rock chick look, and the shimmery, peachy "Declic" on brow bones for highlighting." Cutex white nail pencil: "This pencil goes under my nails to whiten them. I use it several times a day and just couldn't be without it." Jo Malone Lime, Basil and Mandarin scent: "My daytime favourite. It's fresh, citrussy and crisp. At night I like Sisley's Eau de Soir."

THE VERDICT: Ellie Balfe, make-up artist with Stila says: "I think Helen would benefit from a tinted moisturiser to even skin tone and use as a base. Stila's Sheer Color would add a glow and is weightless. As for concealers, I'd suggest the Laura Mercier Under Eye Concealer; it's creamy and won't settle on the skin. Just use where it's needed, not under the whole eye area. Finally, Helen could get a lash curler and good mascara, such as YSL's False Lashes - essential for that rock chick look."
