Heroin and cocaine with an estimated value of £1.2 million were seized in Dublin early yesterday. The seizure took place in the Dromard Road area of Crumlin at 2 a.m., following pursuit of a man in his 40s by gardai.
The man was found in possession of two kilos of cocaine and three kilos of heroin. Three stolen high-powered motorcycles were also recovered. It is thought they were to be used for distributing the drugs. The man, from Dublin, was being detained at Blanchardstown under Section 2 of the Drugs Trafficking Act and can be held for seven days without charge.
