Kigali - Rwandan and Ugandan forces battled each other all day in and around the rebel-held Congolese city of Kisangani yesterday and around 10 civilians died and 100 were injured in the crossfire, a UN official said.
Bangladeshi Lieut-Col Akram Hossain, who heads a four-man UN observer mission in Kisangani, blamed Ugandan troops for initiating the clashes - the first since the estranged allies fought for three days in the city in August last year.
