Eleven men have been remanded in custody for four weeks after being charged in connection with a police search of a bar in north Belfast last Thursday.
All of the men, who have addresses in Newtownabbey, Belfast and Glengormley, were charged at Belfast Magistrates Court with setting up a meeting in support of the UDA/UFF.
They are: John Davis (48), from Glebe Manor, Glengormley; Stephen James Crawford (22), from Hillview Avenue, Newtownabbey; and Robert Joseph, Neill (49) from Fairview Crescent, Newtownabbey.
Eight of the accused have Belfast addresses: Samuel Robinson (37), Arosa Crescent; Gary MacKenzie (34), Claire Heights; Alan John McClean (19), Westland Drive; George Thomas McHenry (38), Ardoyne Road; James Baxter Fisher (36), Alliance Road; Gary David Dunseath (22), Upper Canning Street; Mark Green (23), Hogarth Street; and Gary John Dicks (21), Glenrosa Street.
Six of the accused - McHenry, Fisher, Dunseath, Green, Dicks and Crawford - have also been charged with dressing as members of a proscribed organisation.
All of the defendants were remanded in custody until April 3rd, to appear via video link.
The charges relate to a police search at the Alexandra Bar. Six other men and a woman, who were also being questioned, were released, pending reports to the Public Prosecution Service.
