Srinagar - At least 11 people, including nine Muslim militants, were killed in Kashmir yesterday. Four civilians were also killed overnight in the wake of federal elections. The nine Muslim separatists died in clashes with security forces, while two paramilitary soldiers were killed in a guerrilla ambush.
Muslim rebels meanwhile ambushed the convoy of Mr Mohammad Maqbool Dar, a former Indian junior home minister, in the southern Anatnag constituency where he is a candidate. He escaped unharmed.
