Limerick is to get 125 new jobs, the Minister for Defence, Mr Smith, announced yesterday.
They will be located in the Raheen Industrial Estate at Adhesives Research Ireland, which the Minister officially opened. The project involves an investment of £8.5 million and already 30 people are employed. The Limerick facility is the European manufacturing, administration, research and development centre. The company manufactures specialised adhesive-coated products for the pharmaceutical, medical devices, industrial, electronics and paper industries.
The Minister pointed out that up to a third of the new jobs will be for people with third-level technical or graduate qualifications, which are in good supply because of the excellent work of the University of Limerick and the Institute of Technology.
