Srinagar - Fourteen people, including five Indian soldiers, were killed in gun battles across Kashmir, police said yesterday. Separatist guerrillas stormed an army camp on the outskirts of Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir state, killing four soldiers and wounding five.
Two militants died in the fire, the army said. A spokesman for the Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-eTaiba accepted responsibility for the attack on the army camp.
