A judge has awarded €17,500 in damages to a boy, now six, who was knocked down by a van in 2008 and required 13 stitches to his scalp, a court heard.
Barrister John Quirke told Judge Jacqueline Linnane at the Circuit Court in Dublin that in July 2008, Warren Lavelle, then three, was playing in Killinarden Heights, Tallaght, when the incident happened. He said the van was driven by John Connors, of Killinarden Heights, and owned by NFD Ltd, which trades as the Cleaning Company of Ireland.
