A murdered Irish drug-dealer, Derek Dunne, had £175,000 in guilders and thousands of pounds worth of cannabis at his Amsterdam hideout, a Dutch court has been told.
Dunne (33) was killed in a gunfight in June, when a Dutch drugs supplier and gang members called to his home looking for payment for ecstasy. His death was recalled yesterday at the trial of three men charged in connection with the killing.
A Croatian member of a Dutch-based criminal gang, Mr Zenko Galic (29), admitted shooting Dunne. A second Croatian, Mr Milan Bogovic, was charged with being an accessory to the murder, and a Yugoslavian, Mr Zoran Maksimovic, was charged with extortion, kidnapping and drug-trafficking.
When Dunne died an English drug-dealer who had been beaten by a gang over debts was taken to Dunne's home to demand the money.
