Eight payments totalling at least £20,000 were made by Mr Frank Dunlop to politicians in the period from 1993 to date, he told the tribunal.

These bring the total number of payments revealed to the tribunal so far by Mr Dunlop to 38, which together amount to approximately £180,000.

The list of payments from 1993 onwards was drawn up at the request of counsel for the tribunal, Mr Patrick Hanratty SC, who asked Mr Dunlop to limit the list to politicians he had already listed on the two lists relating to 1991 and 1992.

Mr Dunlop said he was unable to recollect exact amounts but said he believed only one or two were substantial.

Payment number 31 referred to a politician who appeared on both previous lists. Asked whether he could state approximate dates or amounts, Mr Dunlop replied: "Let's just say ongoing."

Number 32, said Mr Dunlop, could be understood in the context of the "road map" of rezoning issues which fell under the Dublin County Development Plan, and specifically items numbers 1 and 2 on the list of sources of funds to Mr Dunlop's AIB account (the list is reported on page 11).

In relation to the amount, it was probably "in total something in the order of 10 [thousand pounds]" paid on a variety of dates.

Mr Dunlop said payment number 33 related to the same two items mentioned on the list of sources of funds. Asked for the amount, Mr Dunlop said he had already referred to a £5,000 payment to the politician in question and "You could add another five, I think."

Number 34 was a payment of between £2,000 and £5,000 to a politician named on both previous lists. It related to items 1, 3, 7 and possibly 13 on the AIB list of sources.

Number 35 was a "relatively small" payment of about £1,000.

Number 36 was a payment to a councillor who appeared on the 1991 list. The payment related to items 1, 3 and 13 on the list of sources, "and any others that he could see his way of muscling into".

Mr Dunlop said he had difficulty recalling the details of payment number 37.

Number 38 was a payment of between £1,000 and £2,000, probably in relation to items 5, 6, 8 and 9, and possibly 10 and 12, said Mr Dunlop.
