Building materials giant CRH is to invest €200 million through its Irish Cement division to modernise its Platin Works near Drogheda, Co Louth.
The company says this investment increase the manufacturing capacity at the plant by 0.8 million tonnes to 2.8 million tonnes.
The new plant is due to come on stream in 2008.
