A £20 million British lottery jackpot has yet to be claimed by its Northern Ireland winner three weeks after the draw was held.
British lottery operators Camelot are appealing to people to check if they have the ticket for the £20,100,472 (€30.29 million) prize.
Friends of visitors who were in the North in the middle of last month but have now gone home have also been urged to remind them of the draw.
The Lotto roll-over draw was made on Wednesday, July 14th. The winning numbers were 6, 27, 33, 38, 45 and 47.
It is the biggest uncollected jackpot to date, according to Jacquie Wilson, a spokeswoman for Camelot. If the ticket was bought by an individual rather than a syndicate, the person will be the biggest prize winner in the lottery's history.
The deadline for cashing the ticket is January 10th and Camelot is keen for the winner to come forward because he or she is losing £2,200 pounds a day in interest.
Ms Wilson said it was likely that the ticket holder was on holidays when the draw took place and had forgotten to check the ticket.
A similar situation arose last month when a winner of a £14 million jackpot did not collect it for four weeks. The winner had been away and had not checked the ticket until a publicity campaign began, she said.
"We need to get people talking, in the pub, to their friends, to visitors, to make sure the winner comes forward."
