London - Lisa Shaw's admission to the EastEnders whodunnit riddle was a huge ratings hit, drawing the biggest audience for two years, figures showed yesterday. More than 20 million viewers saw last night's show at its peak when Phil Mitchell rounded on his ex to force a confession that she had shot him.
Three-quarters of all TV viewers - 76 per cent - at that time saw the scenes as the show's audience reached its height. An average 17.9 million viewers - a 68.8 per cent share of the audience - watched the whole of the show which is the biggest overnight figure for the Albert Square soap for a couple of years, the BBC said.
