Twenty-two acres of development land on the outskirts of Limerick city have been sold for £5 million. The land, on the Golf Links Road, Castletroy, was sold by the Sutton family. The price, almost £250,000 per acre, is a record for Co Limerick. It was purchased by a local developer, Mr Ger Enright, of Kenrite Construction.
A £20-million medium-density residential development is planned and permission will be sought in the coming weeks.
