Twenty eight teenagers from Limerick, Sligo and Border counties returned yesterday from Belfast, where they attended an Arts Focus project organised by the Irish Peace Institute at the University of Limerick and the Shankill, Belfast PHAB (Physically Handicapped and Able-Bodied).

It was the first of eight workshops to be held in the next two years in Northern Ireland and the Republic.

The Northern Secretary, Dr Mo Mowlam, told them: "No matter what institutions are put in place, it is people mixing and crossing barriers that will bring about peace".
