Victims of the Omagh bombing have received just over €30 million in compensation from the British government, it emerged last night.
The North's Secretary of State, Mr Peter Hain, revealed the Compensation Agency had fully resolved 826 of 852 criminal injury claims, and to date £20.4 million (€30.1 million) has been paid.
Of the 220 criminal damage claims, 214 have been resolved with about €11.03 million paid in compensation.
The figures were published in a written reply to a question from Belfast East DUP MP Peter Robinson.
