Irish firm Digital Documents Direct (3D) announced today it would merge with UK company Xeretec Office Systems Limited to create an international document technology reseller group under the name 3D Xeretec.

The €23 million group will offer Xerox products, services and software in the UK and Ireland. Its headquarters will remain in England, with customers will be served from its existing Dublin and Galway offices.

Current managing director of Xeretec Office Systems Steve Hawkins will become MD of the Xeretec Group, while 3D's MD Cliff Barnes will take up the role of managing director of 3D Xeretec in Ireland.

The exact terms of the deal were not disclosed.
