TAIPEI - A deeply divided parliament voted yesterday to restore funding for a projected nuclear power plant, sparking anti nuclear riots in one of the worst outbreaks of political chaos to mar Taiwan's fledgling democracy. Parliament buildings were attacked with petrol bombs, fireworks and rocks. As small fires burned outside parliament, 4,000 riot police used water cannon to drive back the crowd.
