London - Four people were killed yesterday when their light aircraft crashed, just minutes after taking off, police said. The Mooney 210 single engine fixed-wing aircraft plane came down in a field near Hemingbrough, between Selby and Howden in North Yorkshire, shortly before 8.40 a.m.
The aircraft, which crashed just minutes after taking off, from Sherburn in Elmet, North Yorkshire, was on its way to the Netherlands, said a North Yorkshire police spokesman said.
