FOUR men from west Dublin are being questioned by gardai investigating the shooting of a young woman in a car last week, writes Jim Cusack, Security Correspondent.
The men are from the Ballyfermot and Clondalkin areas.
All were arrested on Sunday night and are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act which allows detention for 48 hours without charge.
Ms Violet Blackburn was in her car with her infant child and her partner, Mr John Alford, when she was struck by two bullets fired by a gunman who was apparently attempting to shoot Mr Alford. The child and Mr Alford were unhurt.
