An external independent review of the Eastern Health Board's drugs treatment services found more than 40 per cent of clients returning to work, according to informal reports from a number of satellite clinics, Mr Ivor Callely TD said yesterday. Opening a new satellite drugs treatment clinic in Coolock, Mr Callely, chairman of the EHB, said the clinic reported that all clients were employed or on employment schemes, all were stabilised on methadone treatment and four were drug free and in permanent employment.
The board has opened 30 new drug treatment locations in the past two years, bringing the total to well over 50.
