The first major jobs dividend from Ennis's status as Ireland's information age town was made last night with the announcement of a new software centre which will create 45 jobs. Making the announcement at the Ennis Chamber of Commerce president's dinner last night, the Tanaiste, Ms Harney, said Sigma AB, one of the largest IT consulting firms in Sweden, was to establish Sigma Softlabs Ltds as a software development and technical consultancy centre in Ennis. She said the town's status as the State's information age town was a factor in the decision.
