A factory worker who has been left with a minor deformity to her lip as a result of an industrial accident was awarded £8,900 in Dublin Circuit Civil Court yesterday.
Ms Maura McNally, counsel for Mrs Bernadette Caffrey (49), Maplewood Road, Springfield, Co Dublin, told Judge Michael White her client had been struck in the face by the handle of a stapler while working in Packard Electric's Tallaght factory.
Judge Michael White said that while a scar could be seen only in certain circumstances it had caused Mrs Caffrey some concern.
