Paul Johnson, choreographer-in-residence with Project Arts Centre since April 1998, is showing the fourth stage of his work-in-progress, Without Hope or Fear, as an introduction to the full-length piece which will premiere in Project's new performance space in spring 2000. With lighting by Paul Keogan and five of the 17 Irish and international male dancers he has used to develop this piece, Johnson explores contemporary male culture, challenging stereotypes and extending the boundaries between dance, theatre and politics. The performances, next Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., are free, but booking is essential.
