Perigueux - A truffle described by experts as the biggest ever discovered in the Perigord region of southwest France was put on display yesterday at a local market.
The monster mushroom weighed 1.147kg after cleaning, more than double the size of the current champion which is kept at the truffle museum in the town of Sorges.
